Welder Mechanic III

Job Summary

Service and repair tanks and containers. Ability to weld both MIG and TIG processes on stainless steel or aluminum. Repair work will include cutting, grinding, welding, electrical - perform HM183 inspections, and more.

Work Environment/physical requirements

Inside (sheltered) 75%, Outside 25%. Lift up to 50# occasionally, 0-50# frequently, reaching including above head, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, working out-of-position (standing) is common.

Requirements

Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, read tape measure and compute simple math problems.
At least 3 yrs work experience on cargo tanks
Prior experience in tank repair highly desired
Prior work experience demonstrating knowledge of general shop rules, practices and safety precautions required.
